WHAT IS COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you develop problem-solving, decision-making, and coping skills. CBT is a shorter-term form of therapy that emphasizes and helps us understand the connection between our thoughts, our feelings, and our behaviors. The process of therapy involves setting goals, which helps us measure progress. Clients also may be asked to spend time out of sessions practicing new skills or participating in specific activities to enhance and solidify growth attained through therapy. Research suggests CBT is among the most successful treatments for depression, anxiety, addiction, panic, phobias, and stress management.

WHAT IS DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY?

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an effective treatment for adults and adolescents who are having difficulties with depression, mood swings, anger management, thoughts of suicide, self-injuring and impulsive behaviors. DBT is a compassionate, validating form of therapy that can help you identify and change behaviors that create problems for you. It can assist you in developing new skills so that you can get more of what you want and need out of life.

WHAT IS CHRISTIAN COUNSELING?

Christian counseling helps you achieve positive emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual growth by combining sound psychological research-based methods with Biblical principles. It can help people who are struggling with life’s challenges by providing guidance and ways to grow in their relationship with God and enable those who desire to live a life consistent with Christian principles. We provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment for spiritual growth and emotional healing to take place.
