Lisa M. Singley, ND, MS is a licensed, board certified naturopathic physician with a master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She is considered both a primary care physician and a specialist in Preventative and Holistic Medicine. Her interest in medicine began as a child with her first introduction to science. Through her education she volunteered at Danbury Hospital, worked with the Red Cross to sponsor blood donation drives on her college campus, and organized Health Fairs to benefit the underserved in her community. She received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Hartford and completed the In Vitro Cell Biology and Biotechnology Program from the State University of New York. She worked in the field of medical research for ten years at a number of universities and private institutions including Boston University Medical School, UCONN Health Center, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Lederle Labs and Ciba-Geigy.
The way she practices medicine has been greatly influence by her professional training as well as her personal experiences as a patient. During her formative years, while dealing with her own medical issues she was inspired by the patience and understanding her doctor exhibited. This led her to appreciate how important it is for a doctor to give their patient’s enough the time to fully discuss their illness and the freedom to openly express their thoughts and concerns.
Dr. Singley treats a wide variety of conditions by integrating her training in medical research with a broad scope of natural therapies including: Acupuncture, Botanical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Hydrotherapy, Homeopathy and Physical Medicine. Her focus as a doctor is to help people overcome illnesses by designing individualized programs based upon their medical needs and personal goals. Her unique practice includes programs in Acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation, Weight Loss Programs, Detoxification Programs, Adrenal and Thyroid Disorders, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Stress Management and Counseling.
